It was cold and rainy when we rolled back into town late last night and not much changed rain or cold-wise until after five today when the sun, as Palin likes to say, "reared his head" over the sullen roadways of rush hour traffic.
I took the sun path back out to the country and was greeted with a nearly obnoxious portrait of countrytime fall. I was gone for less than a week and the place has changed like a maturing friendship. Leaves have turned on their trees, some seeing red and others just leaving - or should I say LEAFing all together.
You can't slow it down, but you can cheese it out.
